Our purpose is what we do to make the world a better place. But obviously we can’t be all things to all people, so it really helps to get clear on who you can serve the best and how best to serve them.

Again, this will take you back to what you have learned about yourself.

So, how can you best serve others?

Here’s one thought to think about. What is it that you truly love to do to help others?

Why does that matter?

Think about it. Think about the ways that you have been served at businesses and elsewhere. Which are the experiences which have most delighted you and helped you? I’d venture to guess it’s the ones where the person helping you is doing it because they love it – and that comes across powerfully in the way they interact with you. Or think about the times when you served someone from a place of love and enjoyment – that feels far more fulfilling and enjoyable, doesn’t it?

Compare that to the experiences you’ve had where the person serving you was a misery to deal with. And if we’re being honest, we have very likely been on the dishing-out side of that at times too, right? Where we did not love what we were doing and it showed in the way we interacted with others.
